LA Kings are a perfect trading partner for the Sabres.....
Roy, Miller, Stafford
For
Brown, Quick, Johnson and 1st
Just an opinion, a change of this teams idenity.
But could be partners w/ LA? Just a feeling - Irish 14
previous thread, not sure why the kings would do this, but thats just me
Quicks numbers this season
24-16-10SV% .934GAA 1.87SO 6
plus a first, and we are giving all big contacts that are under performing. |

Ray,
Honestly, it's all the same (rumors),we shall see. If you look at both teams, they both are in need of a drastic team changing move.
Kings/Sabres, changes are coming. |

Dean Lombardi is taking the loss of Whitney Houston very hard, filling the void with drugs. alcohol and making very lopsided trades to hurt his team
was seen leaving last nights game with Bobby Brown and Darcy Regier |

quick is been better and more consistent the last few years than miller, and makes a lot less. So why trade a better goalie, for a worse goalie? |

They do make perfect trading partners, we'll just have to see how big or small they go. |

Malkin is certainly the clear cut MVP this season. Shame there are still dinosaurs around like the Sabres coach that think Euros (especially Russians) cannot play at a high level in the NHL. |

You think? Neither team can score, they both have the same needs really. I don't see how they're our dance partner. Are they willing to deal Kopitar? Other than that, I can't see how the Sabres and Kings are trading partners. |

Would luv to see Brown on the team. He is the type of player Buff needs, someone who is not affaid to go into corners and get hit with some skill. |

He's a fine player having a sub par year, but he's another winger. We need to shore up the middle of the ice before we go get another winger. |

I really like Lindy Ruff and I didn't think Buffalo would be this bad....no leadership whatsoever. You guys need character players on your bench. Send Derek Roy to LA and acquire Dustin Brown...then bring 2 experient guys to the bottom 6 and 1 experient defenseman. |

One thing i will give the sabres credit for, since 81-82 season, 8 vezinas by three different goalies. |

On a team that only has one NHL center, I can't see trading him for another winger. Roy and Brown are comprable players, but we need a center. I'd trade any three players on the Sabre roster for Malkin though. |

Funny, how bad Lindy Ruff's record is when he doesn't have a goalie win the Vezina trophy in a given season. |

no thanks...but there a few players on your roster I'd consider acquiring but not for Malkin/Crosby/Staal.
Get Dustin Brown for Roy, maybe a swap with the Blue Jackets of Thomas Vanek for Jeff Carter (C)....I know you have the assets to bring a C to Buffalo you just have to look for it. Drew Stafford+ could bring something good in return. |
